At HPC, we offer pregnancy tests which are free and confidential.  We have registered nurses on site who perform the pregnancy tests and give you the results.  The test is a urine test and can be done as soon as you have missed your period.    Our nurses are happy to answer any questions you have about pregnancy and fetal development.

We also offer information on abortion, including how the procedure is done, different types of abortion, as well as risks and complications.  We do not provide referrals for abortion.

In addition, we are able to do first trimester (up to 12 weeks) ultrasounds.  These are limited exams which provide an estimate of how many weeks pregnant you are as well as checking the fetal heart beat.   These ultrasounds are not diagnostic in that they do not diagnose any problems or complications of the pregnancy.  Again, all of our services are free and confidential. 

We provide referrals to doctors in our community for the medical care you will need if you decide to carry the baby to full term.  If you are applying for Medicaid, we can give you a verification of pregnancy.  We do not provide prenatal care at the center.

Before making a decision about your pregnancy, obtain as much information as you can.  You have more options than you think.
